David Rose


David Rose has been working as a portrait photographer, specializing in personality portraits, since 1990. His photos have appeared in a vast array of magazines including Vanity Fair, The New York Times Sunday Magazine, Vogue, Esquire, National Geographic, Paris Match, Entertainment Weekly and Movieline. He has shot advertising and promotional assignments for numerous entertainment and media networks, including Sony Pictures, NBC and ABC Television.

Some highlights of David’s career include traveling to Nelson Mandela’s home in South Africa to shoot the official portrait for Mandela’s 46664 concert promotion and ten-years as Bruce Springsteen’s personal photographer, during which time he photographed two of his album covers, concert tour promotion material and numerous personal shoots with his family and friends.

He has also photographed some of the world’s most famous personalities including U2, Jeff Bridges, Tom Cruise, Sheryl Crow, Jack Nicholson, Stevie Nicks, Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Johnny Depp, Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell, Jim Carrey, Willie Nelson, Kate Winslet, Kevin Spacey, Owen Wilson, Billy Bob Thornton, Kevin Bacon, and Ethan Hawke.

After moving to New York City in 1984 he spent the next five years assisting a variety of New York’s top photographers including fashion photographer Bill King and for three years as Annie Leibovitz’s 1st assistant. His latest expedition was as a member of the Dornier DO-24 Flying Boat World Tour for UNICEF where he served dual duties as Photographer and Co-pilot. Projects for Charitable organizations include UN World Food Programme, Bob Woodruff Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the Anne Frank Foundation.
